Our Impact
Through support community and impacting their lives
Project Highlights

RSTF (CALD Women ECEC Traineeship Program)
The RSTF program supported 40 women from CALD and disadvantaged backgrounds across metropolitan Melbourne into early childhood traineeships.
This life-changing project helped an underserved cohort access training, build confidence and transition into meaningful employment. Learning resources were contextualised to meet participants where they were at, making the pathway more accessible, practical and supportive.

Ready For Work Training
The LRF program was funded through local recovery support and ran over 6–8 weeks for CALD ex-offenders experiencing long-term unemployment.
The program combined mentoring, mental health and therapeutic support, job-specific training and employment connections to help participants rebuild confidence, develop workplace readiness and move towards stable employment.

LRF (CALD Ex-Offender Training Program)
Ready for Work is one of Kowanj’s staple employment training programs for African Australian job seekers.
The program provides job-specific training, resume support, interview preparation and employer connections, helping participants strengthen their confidence, improve their job readiness and take practical steps towards employment.

Outcomes
Our programs create outcomes that go beyond training.
The women pictured here successfully completed the Holistic Women Program despite facing language barriers and limited English. Their achievement reflects the resilience, determination and perseverance of East African women who committed to the program, built their confidence and took meaningful steps toward greater independence.
Through tailored learning, cultural understanding and practical support, participants are empowered to build skills, access opportunities and move forward with confidence.
